Welcome to the Winnipeg and Region Green Map website! The following describes the site contents and how to access the information.

At the top of this page, there are 5 drop-down menus. They are called "Interactive Map", "List of Places", "About this Project", "Get Involved" and "Disclaimer". When you hold the mouse over each of these, the ‘hidden’ sub-menus will appear. To open the link to these sub-menus, move the mouse down and click onto the item you would like to display. The following briefly describes what you will find under each menu item.

Interactive Map

The interactive Green Map displays the places and projects listed and described in the “List of Places”. The map allows you to find out which green places exist where.

At this point, after clicking on “Interactive Map”, you can only choose the map for Spence Neighbourhood. The map is interactive and allows you to:

  • zoom in and out,
  • pan,
  • switch layers (categories) on and off, and
  • retrieve additional information, such as pictures, short movies and text documents by either holding the mouse over a place and/or by clicking onto the place with the mouse.

List of Places

The List of Places for Winnipeg / Region and the one for Spence Neighbourhood provide the option to search for information through lists rather than on maps.

Please note that both lists are works in progress - we invite nominations and suggestions! (see “Get Involved” at the top of the page).
